Lazy Day

Mum's delivery isn't here, so we're all still in PJ's. Watching disney channel, playing the ds and eating popcorn.
Hope mum's delivery arrives soon as she's getting on our nerves with pacing the floor and peering out. Bet it'll come for 1pm.

Peaceful

It's been a peaceful day today.
We did 3 food shops for 3 households.
We went to costco and had lunch.
We then lazed about the house all afternoon.
In 2 days we'll have my family around me again.

Minus 4

It's minus 4 outside. Mum de-iced the 3 vehicles at 7.30am incase dad got called into work and cos she needed to go to tesco for tonights tea as we've got our auntie, uncle and boy cousins coming. She got in the car and realised it was frozen inside too.

We've got a tidy house and mum has made the soup and mince is in the slow cooker. She's made cheese cakes for pudding but bought muffins as back up for our cousins.

Granny and grandad Oz should be in Dubai now. They leave Dubai on Monday and we should see them about teatime.

We're listening to music from the past on the ipod.

He's been.....

We reckon Santa came around 2.45am as that was the first wake up. Boy woke girl up at 7am and they went to see and found that Santa had left 2 big sacks. So lots of chilling out going on. Hope Santa was good to you too.

One Day Left

The big man in the red suit will be here soon. He already got us a new microwave. Girlie is banned from it. Mum's managed to get her laptop cable to plug into a spare tv and that's the saving grace since she blew up the upstairs one on Sunday. The man will try to fix the other one today but she's hoping for a replacement as she's a greedy moo. We had chocolate ice cream at costco yesterday. Then we nosed at the deli bit as you can buy so much such as lasagne's pies and order platters of sandwiches etc. Mum was well excited.

Wishing everyone a very merry christmas

Poor Mum

We went to visit friends today. We all had fun and mum took lunch for us all. Poor mum has a badly bruised leg and blood clot as the gale force winds slammed the car door shut on her leg. She spent an hour in A&E and probably managed to be quick by arriving at the right time. She's now a complete space cadet due to the drugs they gave her. Anyone who knows her knows co-codamol is a bad pain relief for her.

We've been good for her and looked after her. On another note after girlie blew up the microwave, in her drug induced state mum broke the tv in her room. Only she could do that.

Busy Day

We've already done the food shop and delivered Grandma's shopping to her. Having an early lunch then we've got a birthday party. #2 child was invited but due to 13 children dropping out #1 child now has an invite. Mum and dad plan to nip to Costco and have some adult time bah!!!

Mum has a big pot of soup on the hob simmering away. You can tell it's almost christmas whooooo.

Saturday, 20 December 2008

We had a late night. We got a long lie. But the parents were wakened by Granny Oz phoning early. Parties again today and then on to the cinema. Papa Noel will be here soon. Weather has been gale force winds and pouring rain. Apparently people needed to be rescued from their cars.

Last Day of School

It's the last day of school today. We're off until the 5th of January. Will probably have upset mum by today. We're taking the wiggly worm game and some webkinz. It will be such fun to see all our friends and not do any work hehe

Glasses

Our glasses are just a pain. The lenses kept popping out of boys ones ages ago and resulted in a new whole pair. Girls lense was lost but at lunchtime she gave it to mum who went to opticians and they tried to put lense back in only for it to pop out again!!! So they have asked the main production place for a new frame too and will see if it is a design fault or a problem with the fact our lenses have to be so thick as we're so long sighted.

Carol Concert

The upper school did a carol concert today. It was very good and all the year groups sang well. P4's sang in italian and wore black glasses to look like the mafia. Thank goodness for Hawkins Bazaar in The Gyle for providing many of the year group with them.

Went out for dinner tonight in celebration of a December Birthday. Was a simple carvary but sooooo nice. Trip to The Gyle on the way home due to a lost lense from someone's glasses. Will be after Christmas before she can see again.

Christmas parties tomorrow and home for lunch before being returned to school. Then our last time of the year with the childminder.

Puppet Show

We met Lapin the Rabbit today. There was a french puppet show to finish off our year at French. Tania introduced us to Lapin and his friends and even Santa came and gave us some home made badges and some white chocolate buttons.

It was the christmas carol concert and parties today. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves.

Church

We walked to the church today. The minister is having a baby in January. We hoped she wouldn't give birth in the church but we were ok and she talked about Woolies and how frenzied it all was and how it made people forget how Christmas came out.
We've set up our nativity scene and it's under the TV. It reminds us of why we have Christmas and that it's not all about presents and how to out do each other.
Tomorrow is the carol concert. We've done the nativity but Christmas Parties later in the week.

X Factor

We're all mixed as to who should win. Mum is reading a book while we are watching it. She can't make up her mind either. Good luck to whoever is the overall winner.

Fred Claus

Dad came home from tesco with a surprise. He'd got us Fred Claus which we saw in the cinema last year. We watched it while dad did computer things and mum slept on the sofa beside us.
It's so funny and such good fun and at the end it all comes together with a lovely happy family. Well worth a watch.

We aint got no homework

Due to all the Christmas things going on, we don't have no homework until next year. Whooo no more homework until 2009.

Maybe it will give mum time to get the Christmas Tree up. She's so lazy that one. You'd think she was working or something.

No use crying over spilt milk

Dad found the milk was leaking on to the kitchen floor.

Seems mum was being harsh with the milk this morning and burst it.

6 pints of milk ruined. Dad managed to save about 3.

Taught him to listen to mum about buying smaller bottles of milk instead of huge ones.

So no use crying over spilt milk.
