Dance Exam

Girl has her dance exam this week so mum has spent money on her. AGAIN. She also needs time off school as well as extra rehersals.

Mum also says she has a surprise for us on Tuesday. But we think Granny Oz has told us already.

So attempting a relaxing weekend as much as we can just now. Next weekend is full of parties.

Grandma

Grandma is home. So glad she was well enough to be allowed home. Long may she stay there.

Falkirk Wheel Day Out

With it still being the holidays...in service day today... Dad took the day off and we went out. It was going to be a day that wasn't interupted. So Mum looked up where we could go, and came out at the Falkirk Wheel.


The Falkirk Wheel joins the Union and Caledonian Canals together and replaces 9 f 11 lochs which used to be used. It would take 8-10 hours to move along the lochs. Now with the wheel it takes 4 and a half minutes. The Wheel opened on the 24th of May 2002.

This is the wheel half way through the way up from the Union Canal.

The highlight of the day was a playpark... an Irn Bru playpark at that. Kids had a good run about in there and it was rather busy between boat rides.

After our boat trip and play in the park we headed over to The Beefeater in Falkirk for a late lunch. All in all a very nice quiet day.

Glasgow

We went to Glasgow for the day. Had a lovely morning and bought lots. But Granny Oz phoned the hospital and grandma has had another turn so won't be coming home yet. She's not well enough. So we got an earlier train home. Mum and everyone is going to see her tonight and Grandad Plumb is coming over. Granny Plumb is away shopping this weekend.

We're off to Granny Plumbs today. Mum is at the doctors. We'll be off to the cinema and we made chocolate brownie's yesterday which will please grandad.

We saw Grandma yesterday. She doesn't look well and called mum and dad by granny and grandad Oz's names. She isn't happy that they aren't letting her out either.

Update on Grandma

Grandma is being well cared for in the hospital. She'll be in for at least a week while they change her medication.

We had a nice day with 3 of the 5 C's and then #4 came home and had fun too. It took our minds off what was happening with Grandma for a while.

Grandad Plumb came to babysit us as Mum had to go to the hospital and dad had his usual weekly engagement.

Things to do today. Not sure what as mum is tired.

Grandma

Grandma had a heart attack today. We're all very sad. It would be much appreciated if you could send some vibes. She is 81 but we still love her loads and want her to be better very soon.

2 more days

Only 2 more days until the holidays. We can't wait. We have loads organised for next week and it will be great to see all our friends who we don't go to school with.

Tiny the hearts mascot was in school today. What is it with the jambo's constantly having to visit the school? Why not the hibee's?

They Survived!!!

Our snowmen survived the night. A little bit smaller due to the sun which shined in the sky. But they are still there. The driveway is covered in icey snow and dad covered it in salt. Where is our snow day?

No snow day

So we had to build the snowman after school. Welcome to our Snowman. Will he still be there in the morning?

Look what we made

Mum has become obsessed by muffins so today was chocolate chip. The original recipe she had didn't make sense but since then she discovered another one and now is dreaming of raspberry ones but no white chocolate. You know what she is like with her no white chocolate.

We also made Granny Oz a birthday cake for tomorrow. We just need to ice it now.

We wouldn't mind a snow day tomorrow ;-)

No Snow Day

We're not happy. We were supposed to have heavy snow yesterday which should have meant we had a snow day today. But instead we got a icing sugar sprinkling of snow. Bet it will come on Saturday when we are off anyway. Dad's really busy at work and mum could be busy if she wanted to.

Who stole the snow?

We were more or less guaranteed a snow day today. Mum woke up at 3am and someone had pinched our snow and left behind the base of our snowman. What horrible person would do that? Instead we had a day at school and mum was able to go to work as planned as it was arranged last week. Mum had a lovely day and the sun came out at the end. While we were just miserable. Supposedly it will be heavy snow tomorrow but we aren't holding our breaths.

Can you believe we are in February already?? And we've had some snow. Maybe it's going to be a fabby year after all.
